How we assess condition
When buying used furniture, it is important to know what to expect. That is why we work with a clear system for assessing condition, where each piece of furniture goes through cleaning, reconditioning and manual inspection before it is published. Many of our customers appreciate that this makes it easy to compare furniture and understand the difference between the different levels. Below you will find a clear explanation of what each level means with us.
New condition
The furniture is in a condition that corresponds to a brand new product. It may have been in front but shows virtually no signs of use. The fabric is in top shape, the colors are bright, the upholstery is stable and all functions are perfect. This is the highest level and corresponds to the feeling of unpacking a brand new piece of furniture.
Very good condition
Very good condition means that the furniture is used but very well preserved. Minor signs of normal use may occur but nothing that affects comfort or overall impression. The surface is clean and fresh, the upholstery holds its shape and the furniture feels modern and well cared for. This level is common among quality furniture that has been well cared for.
Good condition
Good condition means that the furniture is fully functional and in good shape but has visible but normal wear and tear. This may include minor marks, light fading, minor wear and tear or traces of everyday use that do not affect function. After reconditioning, this is furniture that provides great value for money and feels fresh in the home.
Used condition
Used condition is suitable for those who want a reasonably priced piece of furniture where the appearance does not have to be perfect. Here there are more obvious signs of use, such as wear, scratches, stains or fading that cannot be completely repaired. The function is still good and the piece of furniture is excellent to use, but cosmetic wear occurs and is clearly described in each advertisement.
Worn condition
Worn condition means that the furniture has extensive signs of use. There may be obvious stains, heavy wear, surface wear or other visible flaws. This furniture is often sold at a lower price and is a good option if you are looking for a project, plan to use covers or want something simple for, for example, a guest room, student accommodation or as a temporary solution. The function is still there but the aesthetic condition is significantly affected.
